Refund Policy

Effective 2026-04-26.

1. The three layers

Refunds at Sovereignty Stack are governed by three layers, ordered from most permissive to most general. Each layer applies on top of the next.

  • 48 hours. A fast refund window for accidental charges.
  • EU 14-day cooling-off. A statutory right for European Union consumers, where the right has not been waived at checkout.
  • General policy. A twelve-month commitment outside those two windows.

Specific products (printed books, electronic editions, coaching sessions) carry refund mechanics that sit alongside these three layers.

2. Layer one: the 48-hour window

If you are charged by accident, write to us within forty-eight hours of the charge. We refund you and revoke account access on a single one-click admin action with no questions asked.

The window covers the patterns where a fast escape costs us almost nothing and prevents a chargeback later: a double-click at checkout, a saved card used by a member of your household, an immediate change of mind, a confused conversion at the end of the trial. We do not require you to justify the request.

To use the 48-hour window:

  1. Submit the request through the support page or write to support@mysovereigntystack.com.
  2. Include the email address on the account and the date of the charge.
  3. We process the refund through PayPal and revoke your access within one business day.

The PayPal refund itself typically posts to your card statement within five to ten business days, depending on your card issuer. Account access is revoked immediately on our side.

3. Layer two: EU 14-day cooling-off

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have a fourteen-day cooling-off right under Directive 2011/83/EU (the EU Consumer Rights Directive). The right runs from the day of purchase. You may exercise it by writing to us through the support page or by replying to the purchase confirmation email.

At checkout we offer a clearly labeled checkbox: "I want immediate access and waive the EU 14-day cooling-off period." Checking the box confirms that you understand the right, that you wish to begin receiving the course immediately, and that you accept the loss of the right that follows from immediate performance under Article 16(m) of the directive.

If you waived the right at checkout, the cooling-off layer does not apply to you. The 48-hour layer and the general policy still apply.

If you did not waive the right, you may cancel within the fourteen-day window for a full refund. Where course material has already been delivered to you, we may withhold a proportionate amount in line with Article 16(m), calculated against the time elapsed in the fourteen-day period and the proportion of the course you have unlocked.

4. Layer three: the general policy

Outside the 48-hour window and the EU cooling-off window, the subscription represents a twelve-month commitment to yourself. Cancellation through the /account/billing page or by writing to support stops the next charge. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months under the general policy.

There are exceptions. Where any of the following applies, write to us through the support page and we will work the case in good faith.

  • We materially reduce the service, in which case we offer a pro-rated refund of the remaining term.
  • A substantial product defect prevents the course from delivering its promised function to you for a sustained period.
  • A personal hardship arises that makes continuation impractical, supported by a brief explanation.

5. Books

Printed books are produced on demand by our print partner. The book is shipped from the printer to you; it is not held in our inventory. We will refund or reprint a printed book that arrives damaged or that contains a manufacturing defect, on the basis of a photograph and a short description sent through the support page within thirty days of delivery. We do not accept returns of intact printed books outside the EU 14-day window.

When a refund is issued for a book purchase, the system automatically pauses any associated print job that has not yet entered production. Where the print job is already in production or has shipped, the refund proceeds on our side and the book ships anyway; you may keep the book.

The electronic edition (EPUB) is delivered as a single-use download link valid for seven days from the moment of purchase. If the link expires unused, write to us and we will reissue a fresh link at no charge. We will not refund the EPUB after the link has been consumed.

6. Coaching

Coaching sessions are sold and scheduled through Calendly. Refund policies for individual coaching sessions follow Calendly's terms in addition to these terms. Where the two policies diverge, the more permissive policy applies in your favor.

Where a coaching session has been delivered, we will not refund the session. Where a coaching session has been booked but not yet held, we will refund the session if you cancel at least twenty-four hours before the start time. Inside the twenty-four-hour window, the session is treated as delivered.

7. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback through your card issuer rather than contacting us first, we will respond to the dispute with the supporting evidence available to us, including the audit-log record of the purchase, the access pattern on the account, and any communication on file.

A chargeback decided in our favor does not preclude our continued attempt to resolve the case directly with you; we may still issue a refund as a goodwill gesture once the chargeback closes.

A chargeback decided against us results in account termination. The user-record state flips to canceled and access is revoked; rejoining the service after a chargeback requires a fresh purchase and is at our discretion.

We invite you to write to us before initiating a chargeback. The 48-hour window is designed to make this the easier path.

8. PayPal disputes

PayPal operates a separate dispute mechanism within the PayPal interface. PayPal disputes are routed to us through the PayPal Resolution Center; we respond within the timeline PayPal sets. The same evidence we would furnish to a card issuer is furnished to PayPal.

9. How to request a refund

The same channel handles every refund request.

  1. Write to support@mysovereigntystack.com or submit the support form on the support page.
  2. Include the email address on the account, the date of the charge, the order or subscription reference if you have it, and a brief note on what happened.
  3. We acknowledge the request within one business day.
  4. The refund is processed through PayPal and the entitlement is revoked at the same time. The PayPal refund posts to your card statement within five to ten business days; the entitlement revocation is immediate.

Most refunds are processed within five business days from the moment we receive the request.

10. Tax records

For accounting reasons we retain a record of every refund, including the date, the amount, the SKU, and the reason code, indefinitely. The retention is separate from your account; deletion of your account does not delete the refund record. The Privacy Policy describes this in section 8.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when we change the way refunds are handled. The effective date below tracks the most recent change. A change to the refund mechanics applies prospectively only; refund requests outstanding at the moment of the change are processed under the policy that applied at the time of the charge.

12. Contact
