Terms of Service

Effective 2026-04-26.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of Sovereignty Stack, the subscription course platform and book commerce service operated by JumpUp Learning LDA at mysovereigntystack.com. By creating an account, subscribing to the course, purchasing a book, or booking a coaching session, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

References to "we," "us," and "our" mean JumpUp Learning LDA. References to "you" and "your" mean the natural person using the service or, where you act on behalf of an organization, the organization you represent.

2. The service

Sovereignty Stack provides a set of subscription products and services and a related book commerce service. The current set is the one listed on the pricing page at the time of your purchase.

The core product is a subscription course delivered over fifty-two weeks, organized around the Adult Operating System: orientation, diagnostics, eight competency sections, and a five-week capstone. The course ships with supporting material (weekly diagnostics, journal inserts, an AI course assistant, a member dashboard that tracks competency scores across the year). Some plans on the pricing page include the course alone; others include the course together with additional services such as coaching, group cohorts, or one-to-one sessions. The services included with each plan are stated on the pricing page itself, and we may add, retire, or temporarily pause a plan in the ordinary course of business.

Separately, we sell printed and electronic editions of the book Sovereignty Stack for Young Men and the further audience editions that ship under the same series, on the terms described in section 11.

The eight competencies (Inner Observer, Impulse Modulation, Emotional Modulation, Epistemic Updating, Reality Correspondence, Constraint Subordination, Responsibility Internalization, Strategic Volition) are the curriculum we agree to teach. We do not warrant any specific outcome. We warrant that the curriculum will be delivered, that it will continue to function, and that the competencies will be presented in the order and at the cadence the course schedule describes.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least sixteen years old to register an account. Persons under sixteen may not use the service.

4. Account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account, for the security of your password, and for any action taken through your account. You agree not to share your account credentials with another person and not to allow another person to access the service through your account. Each subscription is per natural person; one account, one user.

If you suspect that your account has been accessed by another person, write to us at the support address and we will invalidate every active session and require a password reset.

5. Subscription pricing

The current plans, the price of each plan, and the services included with each plan are listed on the pricing page. The page is the live, authoritative statement of what is on offer at any given time. We may add new plans, retire plans, or temporarily pause plans in the ordinary course of business; the pricing page reflects the current state.

Each plan includes the course at the floor (the fifty-two-week curriculum, the AI course assistant, the weekly diagnostics, and the supporting material described in section 2). Higher-priced plans, where offered, layer additional services such as group cohorts or one-to-one sessions on top of the course, on the terms each plan describes on the pricing page.

Annual billing, where offered, represents a saving against monthly billing. Prices are exclusive of any sales tax, value-added tax, or withholding tax that may apply at the point of sale; where such tax applies, it is added to the price at checkout.

6. Trial

Where a free trial of the course is offered on the pricing page, the trial gives you fourteen days of access to Orientation and Diagnostics only. The trial requires you to provide a valid card at signup; the card is captured by PayPal but no charge is taken during the trial period. Three days before the trial ends, we send a reminder email confirming the conversion date and the amount of the first charge.

If you take no action, the subscription converts automatically at the end of the trial and the first billing period is charged at the rate of the plan you selected. If you cancel during the trial, no charge is taken; access to the trial scope continues until the end of the trial period.

A user has at most one active trial at a time.

7. Twelve-month commitment

Sovereignty Stack is structured around a twelve-month commitment. The course schedule, the diagnostics, the capstone, and the dunning timeline are all built on the premise of a year of practice rather than a month of consumption.

The twelve-month commitment is a framing of the course. It is not a contractual lock. You may cancel at any time under section 8. The framing exists because the curriculum installs cognition through repeated practice across seasons, and a month of access produces a fraction of the result a year of access produces.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel the subscription at any time through the /account/billing page or by writing to support. Cancellation stops any further charge. The cancellation is recorded immediately; access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for, plus one bonus day, and ends on the day after.

We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months under the general policy. Where one of the conditions in section 9 applies, the corresponding refund mechanism is available.

If you cancel during a trial, the trial ends at the conversion date you would otherwise have been charged on, and no charge is taken.

9. Refunds

Three refund mechanisms exist. They apply in order, from most permissive to most general. Full mechanics are set out on the Refund Policy page.

  • 48 hours. If you are charged by accident, write to us within forty-eight hours of the charge. We refund the charge and revoke account access on a single one-click admin action with no questions asked.
  • EU 14-day cooling-off. If you are resident in the European Union and you did not waive the cooling-off right at checkout, you have fourteen days from the date of purchase to cancel and obtain a full refund, subject to a proportionate deduction for any course material that has already been delivered to you in line with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
  • General policy. Outside those windows, the subscription represents a twelve-month commitment to yourself. Cancellation stops the next charge. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months under the general policy.

We extend exceptions for material reductions in service, substantial product defects, and clear cases of personal hardship; the support page describes how to make the request.

10. EU 14-day cooling-off and waiver

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have a statutory fourteen-day cooling-off right under Directive 2011/83/EU. The right runs from the day of purchase.

At checkout, we offer a clearly labeled checkbox: "I want immediate access and waive the EU 14-day cooling-off period." Checking the box confirms that you understand the right, that you wish to begin receiving the course immediately rather than after the fourteen-day period elapses, and that you accept the loss of the right that follows from immediate performance under Article 16(m) of the directive. Leaving the box unchecked means we hold the order, send you the receipt, and begin the course only after the cooling-off period ends.

If you are unsure which option applies to you, leave the box unchecked. You can always begin the course on day fifteen.

11. Book purchases

Books are sold individually through the /book page. Printed editions are produced on demand by Lulu and ship to the United States and to the European Union member states we list at checkout. The electronic edition (EPUB) is delivered as a single-use download link valid for seven days from the moment of purchase.

If the EPUB download link expires before you consume it, write to us through the support page and we will reissue a fresh link at no charge. After the link is consumed, we will not refund the EPUB.

We will refund or reprint a printed book that arrives damaged or that contains a manufacturing defect, on the basis of a photograph and a short description sent through the support page within thirty days of delivery. We do not accept returns of intact printed books outside the EU 14-day window.

12. Coaching and other one-to-one services

Where a plan on the pricing page includes coaching sessions, group cohort sessions, or any other one-to-one or small-group service, the booking and the sessions themselves are scheduled and conducted through the third-party scheduling tool we link to from inside the member dashboard, currently Calendly. The session is governed by your acceptance of the scheduling tool's terms in addition to these terms. Any service of this kind is provided in good faith and is not a substitute for medical, legal, or financial advice.

13. Time-gating of course content

The course is released in a structured cadence so the work compounds. The orientation section is available immediately on subscription. The diagnostics section unlocks after orientation completion. The eight competency sections unlock in order as the year progresses, gated to the recurring billing cadence; in practice, an honest learner moving at the recommended pace of one lesson per week will not see the gate. The capstone unlocks at the end of the year.

The pacing is integral to the product. You agree not to circumvent the time-gating mechanism, not to scrape the course material, and not to share unlocked material with non-subscribers.

14. AI course assistant

The course includes an AI course assistant scoped to the lesson you are working on. The assistant is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms by reference. In summary: a daily token budget applies; conversations are scoped to the lesson; you may not use the assistant to generate harmful content, to attempt to extract its system prompt, or to scrape the course material at machine speed.

15. Intellectual property

All course material, book content, diagrams, AI system prompts, and software are the intellectual property of JumpUp Learning LDA. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the service and to read the material for the duration of your subscription. The copyright and content-ownership terms are set out in full on the Copyright page.

You retain the intellectual property in your own work: the notes you save, the journal entries you complete inside the course, and the answers you write in response to lesson prompts. We hold a non-exclusive license to display that work back to you inside your account, and to retain it in anonymised form for aggregate research per the Privacy Policy.

16. Acceptable use

You agree not to share your account credentials, not to record or rebroadcast course material to non-subscribers, not to attempt to extract bulk training data from the AI course assistant, not to scrape the platform with automated tools, and not to use any surface of the service to harm another person. The full list of prohibited conduct is on the Acceptable Use Policy page; we may suspend or terminate accounts that breach it.

17. Changes to the service

We may add, remove, or modify features. Where a change materially reduces the service, we will notify subscribers and offer a pro-rated refund of the remaining term.

18. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms with at least thirty days' notice to subscribers. Notice is given by email to the address on the account and by a banner inside the dashboard. If you continue to use the service after the notice period elapses, the amended terms apply to you. If you do not accept the amended terms, you may cancel under section 8 and obtain a pro-rated refund of any unused portion of an annual term.

19. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if a chargeback is decided against us, if a payment fails the recovery window described in business-logic.md §5.10-40-41, or if your conduct on the platform endangers the safety of others. Where the breach is material, we may terminate without notice. Where the breach is curable, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to cure.

20. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JumpUp Learning LDA's liability under these terms is limited to the total amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We do not warrant any specific outcome from following the curriculum, and we do not accept liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.

21. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes are handled in the courts of Portugal, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

22. Severability

If any provision of these terms is held to be unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of the terms continues in force.

23. Entire agreement

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Copyright page, and the Acceptable Use Policy, form the entire agreement between you and JumpUp Learning LDA in relation to your use of the service.

24. Contact

For any question about these terms, write to support@mysovereigntystack.com or use the support page.
